Frequently Asked Questions

I do my best to keep my FAQs updated but if you still have a question, you can always reach out

Pick the size you’d like, fill out the corresponding boxes, select the quantity you’d like, add to cart, and proceed to check out. Once you place your order, I will email you at the email address provided with any questions. When my drawing is ready, I will email you a photo of it for approval. Once approved, I will begin painting. I will email you a photo of your finished painting when it’s completed and it will be shipped soon after. 

I can usually include pets in custom portraits when photos are provided. Photos of the pets in the position you’d like them painted are preferred. If I am unable to include pets for a certain reason, I will let you know.

I include people in portraits on a case by case basis. If I am able to include them, they will be painted faceless. Please contact me with how many people you would like included if this is something you’d like me to do and I will get back to you with my thoughts.

All custom portraits other than pet portraits and ornaments come in four sizes – 5x7in, 8x10in, 11x14in, and 16x20in. Pet portraits are available in three sizes – 5x7in, 8x10in, and 11x14in. Ornaments are 3.5in circles.

No. My custom paintings and prints do not come framed or matted.

Depending on the demand for custom paintings around popular holidays (Mother’s Day, Christmas, etc.) I may create or change a cutoff date at any time if my order capacity is reached. If there is a cutoff date, or if the date has passed, this will be listed in the product’s description. 

I do not offer refunds or cancellations. All sales are final with the exception of returns due to damage, defective product, or wrong item shipped. Please see question below for what to do if your order has been delivered damaged.

If your items are delivered damaged in any way, please contact me immediately with your order number and three or more high-quality images of the damage on the items and packaging from multiple angles within 48 hours of receipt of order. You also may be required to complete a form confirming the damage in a claim for shipping insurance. After I receive the images and the claim form is completed, the items will be exchanged and/or a replacement will be sent. Shipping will not be charged for exchanged items as a result of damage, defective product, or wrong item shipped.

If at any time there is a problem or you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact me to resolve the issue within 48 hours of receiving your items. I strive to make every customer happy and your satisfaction is extremely important to me.

Shipping is included with all Custom Portrait orders within the United States. There is an extra shipping cost with Custom Portrait gift certificates.

When a package ships internationally it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are usually  due once the package arrives in the destination country. In general, the buyer is responsible for paying the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges can vary and are often based on the price, package weight and dimensions, origin country, and the taxes, duties and fees of the destination country. I can’t predict which of these fees, if any, will be applied. I am not responsible for any additional charges that may apply after a purchase is completed.
