I’m Colle (pronounced like Cole) and I’m so glad you’re here. Colle Creative is your spot for watercolor custom portraits, wall décor, and cards. My goal is to bring you joy through my art – whether it’s a custom house portrait of a childhood home, a travel print of your favorite place, or a beautiful card to write a meaningful note in. The fact that I get to be a part of that joyful process still makes me pinch myself. Like it seriously blows my mind that people on the internet (you!) see my art and think, “yes, I will spend my hard-earned money on this.” Your support of this small one-woman business means more than you know. So how did Colle Creative come to be? Well, I’ve always had a crafty side. I love drawing, photography, needlepointing, baking – you name it. As I got older, I didn’t have as much time for these activities that brought me so much joy. After being in a corporate job rut, I decided to dust off my crafty abilities and take a watercolor class. Soon after, I discovered the world of watercolor house portraits. When I realized I could combine my love of admiring homes with my love of painting, I was hooked. And then when I realized just how much a custom portrait of a home means to someone, Colle Creative was created! House portraits led to wedding venue and pet portraits. Portraits led to cards and wall décor prints and who knows what will come next! I have big plans for Colle Creative so be sure to stick around.
A little about me – I grew up in St. Louis, MO and went to college in Tulsa, OK. Since graduating, my husband and I have moved to Denver, Chicago, New York City, and most recently, Dallas. When I’m not painting or working on my business, you can find me cooking, baking, reading, traveling, getting outside, staring longingly at other people’s dogs, listening to Harry Potter audiobooks, or drinking coffee.
